About Your Flight
What happens after I book my flight?
Once your flight is booked you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your payment details and any important information you’ll need for your adventure.

A few days before we’ll send you a reminder email to keep you informed about your upcoming flight.

The day before your flight we’ll reach out by 16:00 to provide a weather update and confirm your meeting time and location.

If you’ve opted to choose date later you’ll receive notifications about available flights a few days before scheduled departures that have favourable conditions. Plus, you can schedule your flight at any time after booking for added flexibility.
What happens on the day?
On the day please meet your pilot and crew at the confirmed time and location. We’ll arrive simultaneously giving you the chance to watch and assist with the setup and inflation of the balloon, which typically takes about 30 minutes.

Once we’re airborne we plan to fly for approximately one hour, depending on suitable landing sites. After we land, we invite you to help pack up the balloon before we celebrate our journey with a complimentary drink. We’ll return you to the meeting location approximately 3.5 hours after your arrival.
Where do we take off?
All our launch sites have been hand-picked to guarantee you experience the very best of your chosen area. The launch site is chosen dependent on the weather to give you the longest, safest and most enjoyable flight in your preferred area.
What time do we meet?
Arrival times vary throughout the year as all balloon flights are scheduled for either morning or evening, depending on sunrise and sunset times. While the displayed times are generally accurate, please note that they are subject to slight change.
Weather & Cancellations
How do I know if my flight is going ahead?
All balloon flights are highly weather dependent.

We aim to contact you by 16:00 the day before your flight to confirm whether it will proceed, as well as the meeting time and location. Please note that this may sometimes be as late as 22:00 the night before a morning flight or as late as 16:00 on the day of an evening flight. We aim to contact everyone with as much notice as operational procedures allow.

*If you are traveling long distances or booking hotels specifically for ballooning, we strongly recommend contacting us two days prior to your departure and choosing accommodations with a flexible cancellation policy.
What happens if my flight is cancelled?
In the event of a cancellation, you will receive a notification via SMS and email. This message will include a one-click reschedule link, enabling you to easily view available slots and select a new date for your experience. You can also call the office to reschedule.

We offer a weather refundable option at checkout which entitles you to receive a full refund if your flight is cancelled due to bad weather. Please note that without this option, your voucher is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Terms & Conditions
Why would a flight be cancelled?
We really regret having to cancel and rearrange flights as we know the disappointment that comes with it for our guests. However, your safety is our top priority and our duty of care is to operate in a safe manner. As a commercial balloon operator we do not fly in marginal or unsafe weather conditions.

Hot air ballooning is weather dependent so your flight can be cancelled if the weather does not make it safe to fly you. Additionally, flights may be dependent on mechanical performance or staffing availability. Similarly, a trip may be postponed due to less than minimum numbers being achieved.
